Who We Are
Model and Artist Network was founded by Christopher Ryan, a self-portrait photographer and professional life-drawing model based in the Trenton, NJ area. Christopher has spent years working directly with artists — in studios, ateliers, and classrooms across New York City, Philadelphia, and Trenton — and this site grew out of that experience: a genuine passion for modeling, and for the collaborative relationship between artist and subject that makes good figure work possible.
Our Belief
We believe every artist deserves access to quality reference material, regardless of experience level, geographic location, or cultural background. Not every artist has a life drawing group down the street, or the means to attend one regularly. This site exists to close that gap — starting with reference photography, and growing from there.

Where We’re Headed
Model and Artist Network is brand new, and what you see today is just a starting point. The vision is a genuine community: a growing database of artists, models, and instructors who can connect, share work, and support each other’s practice. This will be a sharing-based platform, not a one-way resource — active participation will come with some expectations, such as sharing samples of finished work created from materials found here. Details on how that will work are still being built out, and will be shared as the site develops.
